Welcome to episode 3 of Roll With Peace, In Mind. In this episode, I share my Seven Tips For Success To DE-Stress--these tips have helped me tremendously. Whenever I find I am on the road of HSOM (High Stress Out Mode), I tell myself to take my own advice and apply this list!
In "The Talk" segment, I break down these tips:
Breathe
Hydrate With Water
Exercise Your Positivity Muscle
Expect The Best
Carry An Essential Oil 
Press On Those Pressure Points

in the second segment I take you through a brief sample of my StressBusters Guided Meditation (of which I am the creator and practitioner) to help you chill out and release some of the stress and anxiety you've been rollin' with. In this guided meditation you have an opportunity to consider which of the 7 tips you will choose to work with.
The music for "The Talk" is called Dande which is a traditional song in Shona Music, the music of Zimbabwe, Africa. I play on a magical instrument called dzavadzimu mbira, a particular type of mbira. I find the instrument to be soothing and calming while at the same time having an invigorating effect that is oh-so-good.

"Whatever you do first thing in the morning sets the tone for the rest of your day..." Welcome to episode 2 of Roll With Peace, In Mind! You want to make sure you Hit The Ground Running and Centered.
In "The Talk" segment, I riff on the importance of making time in the day to ground and center, explaining why it is an integral aspect to your WellBeing and why you shouldn't go through the day or leave home without it. I also introduce the idea of using gemstones and crystals in your grounding practice, some of the ones I suggest in no particular order are:
Red Jasper
Smoky Quartz
Tiger's Eye
Black Tourmaline
Jet (not really a gemstone but fossilized wood and coal)
Agates
Other types of Jaspers
Hematite
Bloodstone
Onyx (black)
Stones and pebbles from the beach, park or in your own backyard
I use gemstones in my handmade wellness brand MODAL VISIONS for their incredible energy and beauty. They adorn my wall hangings and jewelry. They can be used as meditation tools and are on my website--gemstones, crystals and copper are an important component in my well being and mindfulness practice.

The music for "The Talk" is called Mukaitiende which is a traditional song in Shona Music, the music of Zimbabwe, Africa. I play on a magical instrument called dzavadzimu mbira, a particular type of mbira. This instrument is the inspiration for the creation of the Western instrument kalimba. The mbira is centuries old and translates as "Voice of The Ancestors" and is often erroneously referred to as a 'thumb piano' but if you saw the look that the great mbira master Chartwell Dutiro would give you if you said that, you'd never make that mistake again...and I quote: "it is NOT, a thumb piano..." (add proper accent along with dripping sarcasm and disdain here). (Note, I play the song rather slowly, generally speaking, the Zimbabweans FLY on this instrument lol!) Mukaitiende means "wake up, let's go." I love the mellow tones of this instrument, how the overtones sing. The Zimbabweans say, 'feeling bad, play mbira, feeling sad, play mbira, feeling good, play mbira!' I find the instrument to be soothing and calming while at the same time having an invigorating effect that is oh-so-good.

My Maiden Voyage has BEGUN! Welcome to the first episode of Roll With Peace, In Mind!
There are two major segments in the Roll With Peace, In Mind podcasts: one I call "The Talk," the other a guided meditation segment. In this episode I riff on the importance of making time in the day to take deep conscious breaths to reboot and to refresh our Energies, which serve to align our MindBodySoul, deep breathing is like a magic medicine! I take you through steps to learn Ujjaiyi breathing from the Hatha Yoga system of breathing exercises known as Pranayama. Pranayama is a Sanskrit word, prana translates as 'Life Force' and ayama as extending or stretching. Ujjayi (yoo-jai-ee) breathing is my absolute favorite way of getting a lot of air into the body and was first introduced to me as a singer but was called 'intercostal breathing' and it helped my breath control immensely. In Hatha Yoga, particularly in a form called Ashtanga Yoga, it is used hand in hand with asanas or poses, but when I'm becoming stressed or anxious, I have found that Ujjayi breathing gets me right back in The Flow. I hope that it will help you too.

The Intention

I am a Wellness Guide, it is important for me to share what I know to help folks find their Higher and Better Selves because as each of us does that in our own way, we help to elevate others as we Vibrate at a Higher Frequency. By really going inward by getting quiet can we actually begin to unravel the behavioral patterns that contribute to our daily pain and suffering--maybe it's habitually saying yes when you mean no because you don't want to upset someone, (meanwhile YOU are upset and even more stressed out!) or ignoring signs that you're out of Balance in the day to day crunch that Life can be at times, (for some folks that's ALL the time) in visiting my corner of the world called Roll With Peace, In Mind you can begin to get a handle on your stress and anxiety as well as cultivating more Mindfulness.
